Travel to Canada
VIA Rail Canada's private railroad car movement request and payment process has changed:
- Requests must be received no later than 15 days prior to movement (please provide as much time as possible)
- 15% down payment required (we will request this from you)
- Payment in full required 7 days prior to movement (we will request this from you)
- No occupied parking in Toronto - Guests must stay in hotels.
- Occupied parking in Montreal has become harder and should not be automatically considered as an available option.
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements will result in automatic move cancellation and forfeiture of any funds paid on account.
To this end we request that you provide as much time as possible when planning a trip that crosses into Canada. Whenever possible, please try to provide us with at least 30 days to complete movement requests and associated contract work.
